Col Little replaced Col Park in command of the 922nd EAR. Col Park was also with Col Little when he was wounded at Le Bourget Airfield on 27 Aug 1944. He had said that he would visit Col Little's parents and give them details but was killed in a plane crash before getting the opportunity.
